Mediation
When it comes to mediation, promptness, effectiveness, and sustainability are the keys to successfully avoiding a costly litigation process. MPG mediators are experienced former employment and business attorneys; they understand the legal and business concepts that must be applied to complaint handling, dispute resolution, conflict resolution matters. Our combination of preparation, collaboration, persistence, and a direct but respectful style contributes to a proven record of successful resolution of workplace conflicts and disputes.
Our preparation begins by reviewing basic documents and discussing the basics with the parties in advance. Being mindful of the parties’ time and expense, we do not require specially prepared mediation briefs but reviews in advance any existing written materials (e.g. pleadings, briefs, key memos) the parties deem relevant.
In addition to mediating filed litigation cases, we gladly work with in-house or outside counsel to resolve workplace conflict before litigation has been filed or even threatened. These matters might be part of a company’s internal “open door” or other conflict resolution process or as a special case.
We recognize that matching a mediator to a given case can be challenging and critical to a successful resolution and we are pleased to assist the parties in determining if we are the right mediator, and, if not, to recommend someone who might be a better fit.
